This year marks 45 years of our Black Scholars program. As such, we’ve created a Homecoming Weekend to celebrate with three events happening and a unique opportunity for Palmer Foods to insert itself into all of them. This includes our Distinguished Chefs Cook-Off, which we are hosting in conjunction with The Commissary on Sunday, June 2.

EARLY RECOGNITION CELEBRATION

We’re hosting a celebration for all 9th-11th grade students within our nine-county region who are on the path to becoming Black Scholars. There will be food, fun and community partners in attendance to keep them motivated and looking ahead to future academic success!

DISTINGUISHED CHEFS COOK-OFF
Sunday, June 2 | The Commissary & Mercantile on Main
It’s the long-awaited return of our ever-popular, food-tasting event. Come enjoy food samplings from dozens of chefs across our area. We’ll have some special guest chefs and plenty of food and drink to enjoy!

45TH ANNUAL SALUTE TO BLACK SCHOLARS CEREMONY

We’re celebrating 45 years of Black Scholars this year and welcoming this year’s graduates to our family (congrats to Luke!). Students, families, alumni and the Rochester community will gather to recognize our young scholars, award a whole lot of scholarship money and celebrate them as they embark on their next journey in life.

As mentioned, we have a unique opportunity to sponsor ALL THREE of our events for ONE price. We’d love for Palmer Foods to be a Homecoming Power Sponsor and speak at our Distinguished Chefs Cook-off event.
